The 2011 St. Andrews Festival welcomes visitors to a weekend of fun-filled events in Fife’s magnificent St. Andrews.  This year promises to be the best yet with an exciting array of activities to showcase Scotland’s very best.

Get ready for the St. Andrews Festival 2011, a high-spirited celebration to remember in Scotland’s iconic St. Andrews! Every year the Festival draws thousands of Scots and Scots at heart to this beautiful medieval town with electrifying events, outstanding artists and plenty of gustie Scottish fare. This year’s action-packed weekend of revelry takes place on the weekend of the 25th to the 26th of November.

Where better to celebrate St. Andrews Day than in St. Andrews itself?  In 2010, five thousand people attended dozens of events over the St. Andrews festival weekend and this year’s celebrations are shaping up to be better than ever.

Back by popular demand, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers will be bringing you Scottish music at its mind-blowing finest.  With performances by the Peatbog Faeries and St. Andrews’ own Black Sheep, a showcase of Scottish talent doesn’t get better than this.  Don’t miss out on a host of FREE events, either: the annual Christmas light switch-on ceremony, St. Andrews Day procession and much-loved Nae4Wimps Ceilidh under the stars will start off your holiday season in true Scottish style.

As a very wise Red Hot Chilli Piper once said, ‘St. Andrews Day in St Andrews is like St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin.’  Join the fun and discover Scotland at its merry best.
